When buying a new RV, you can expect the dealer to toss in a 12v "24" Marine/RV battery. Before he does, you should step in and get a credit for that battery you don't want and use that money to help pay for the batts you do want.
If you take his 24, then you have no use for it if you get 6s. You could get a second 24 or a 27 to go with it if all you want is a pair of 24s (160AH) instead of a pair of 6s or 27s (220AH) but you have to get the second battery to match that 24 and do it so they are about the same age.
You have no idea where his 24 has been lately either. It could be half way sulfated already or be just fine.
Since this is a camper not a trailer it does not need its own battery the minute you arrive, so you could organize your own battery set in your own time.
