Remove cover and see what is inside that box
Hose not connected.........both ends or just one end?
One end is connected to that big metal cylinder, other end goes in to the jct box and then just dangles. This was true for the other vans I saw, too, which was why I thought it was something no longer in use.
Seller was a guy on craigslist. He did tell me to save his number and call with any questions, but the one time I called a woman answered, said she was his girlfriend, and yelled at me to never call her man again.
Which was kind of odd since they are both 75 or so.
He was a super nice guy and tbh I would think he could do better...
Anyway, I don't think I would call him for a non-emergency, but I would like to know what this thing is :)
Also, what do u guys think of mounting 420lbs just behind the rear axle vs indoors? It is a high clearance van, so indoors is two feet off the ground, maybe 30".
I was sad to discover that the place I WANTED to put them, under the side doors, is 11" and so are the batteries, on their sides. I guess I don't want the terminals wedged in against the metal frame o_O. And if I put them upright (or upside down) thry will be the lowest thing under the van and hit on rocks. I could put a massive skid plate, but there is a reason I bought a high clearance rig...
