In the trailer I have one of them tool kits in a plastic box that contains standard and metric sockets and box end wrenches as well as pliers, screw drivers and allen wrenches. I have a little bigger sockets and wrenches in my pickup as well as more pliers and screw drivers.
As for parts I carry some fuses, duct tape and bailing wire. I figure if I really need a part I am not that far from someplace that sells stuff so why weight down the trailer with stuff I will probably never use. I'm sure I will collect a few more things as I need to make repairs but until then I run light. I do carry some electrical wire in my ATV as well as some other electrical stuff so between the trailer, truck and ATV I should be able to make something work.
