What sort of sealant is this?

Found on various parts of my trailer where a thick bead is necessary like between the skin and door or the skin and the slide out seal. Here is a pic of the later:

Almost feels like a silicone rubber, not your typical ProFlex.

Lap Sealant?

Yeah, ProFlex would also fit the description, but both of them apply as a caulk and I'd be shocked to see it used behind trim pieces that are screwed or clamped against the sealant. I am definitely interested in the answer.

  • It sure doesn't feel like putty tape. This is definitely some type of rubber sealant. The putty tape I have used is tacky and attracts dirt. This stuff doesn't do either.
  • Butyl putty sealant is what I have always seen used on the exterior of an RV
