what time of day do you hit 1.5 amps of charging from solar?

Hi all,

Today I found that I was covering parasitic loads by 90 minutes after sunrise.

Details of my system are in my signature.
  • 1.5 ramping up or floating? Either way it is fairly early depending on use and conditions.
  • Here we have to wait till the sun gets up over the coastal mountain range, so it is already fairly light out.

With 130w panel pointed in contraption, I have notes from last August 3rd, when we got 1.4a at 0600 (not sure when sunrise was then) and 4.1a by 0700. Gets to 8.2a when sun high enough (Isc of panel)

Obviously I got more amps at those times using 330w this summer than with the 130w.

What's the reason for this question?
  • i guess you mean what time of the morning

    i have no idea
as i seldom get out of bed before sunrise, unless its a nature call

in the afternoon, with all the fans running in this 'HOT' as blazes weather, i'm still getting 2>3 amps at 6 pm

    1.5 hrs before sunset
