I run a small 120 volt fan all the time blowing up from the bottom of the coils all the time during spring, summer and early fall. It has real hot for the 2 Norcold fans to come on.
If your fridge is a No Cold 1200 series, it may just have been going thru the defrost cycle. Our does this about ever 48 hours.
