From the reviews, it appears Xantrex has handed over operations to the chinese, and thus quality has gone down hill. An older unit would probably be a good one, a newer unit though?
My prowatt1000 inverter has been good, but the Xantrex Xpower 40a portable charger I had took a major cr@p after only a few uses. I was told by Xantrex tech support it was a throw away item (along with the $120 I spent on it, apparently). L@@ks like the NWO has decided to slowly bankrupt us by replacing our hard earned cash with weapons of mass production. :(
