A battery will not go dead or discharge unless there is a draw on it. Interstate builds the BEST batteries as far as I am concerned. Any warranty on a battery also is dependant on the price you pay. For instance, I went to the Interstate battery training last week on the new AGM batteries Interstate has developed. There is a BIG difference I found out in AGM batteries. There are PURE LEAD AGM's and all the bothers with use a mixture of lead/alloy lead . Interstate makes both kinds. The Pure Lead are a lot more expensive and carry a full 5 year no pro-rate warranty. The non Pure Lead batteries have a 3 year with a pro-rate. If the AGM does NOT state Pure Lead on the case, it is a lead/alloy AGM. Still good but not as good as a Pure lead. They do NOT make a AGM in 6 volt or 27 series 12 volt yet. You would use the 31 series Pure lead AGM 12 volt in place of any 6 volt's if you wanted to go to AGM's. Doug
