The "real" PMBCs at PowerMax are in two versions:
-without the optional adjustable voltage. These do the same stages as the converter version
-with adjustable voltage. No stages. you set the voltage to suit yourself. You could do a charging profile with it for bulk, absorb, float, equalize twiddling the knob.
i couldn't find two versions on pm's site, but just realized it says the adjustable voltage is "optional". so i guess one would have to specify when ordering?
elsewhere, product descriptions vary, from not mentioning the adjustable voltage at all, to saying it's 12.5-15v, while pm's site says 12.5-16.5v. bestconverters' ad mentions nothing about adjustable voltage. the version at amazon canada looks like it has a handle but no on/off switch?
