when should a powermax pm4b drop into float mode

So, 46.5a X 13.9v = 646.35w / .63eff. = 1025.95w / 104.5v = 9.8a should read as:

46.5a X 13.9v = 646.35 VA / .63eff. = 1025.95 VA / 104.5v = 9.8a, correct?

How should one interpret the spec sheets when they say max input current is 5a for a pm-45?
