I doubt your swivel ends are garden hose ends/thread. I would try a hose clamp as close to the metal end as possible in the hopes that the barb inside the hose is longer than the metal swedging sleeve. Next if you have some way of grinding off the metal sleeve (under the blue arrow head in your first picture) and put the clamp there even if you have to cut 1" off to take it to a grinder. Lastly, instead of replacing the entire hose, why not take the 1" of the leaking end to HD and see what you can rig to splice onto your hose? A threaded barbed hose splice, coupling and swivel fitting?? Once you cut the end off make sure that the inside of the hose does not have several ridges (the inside is not smooth) that some hoses have to keep them from kinking. If so the ridges need to be cut off before trying to fix.
