Where is advertised length measured & EPDM roof replacement

Since the Hitch (A frame) is supposed to be included in the total length, which would mean the EPDM at 38 feet would cover the 39 minus the 3 foot A frame at 36 feet. Remember, the top front roll wrap rolling over to the EPDM will usually go back 6 inches. You should have at least 18 inches extra EPDM. Doug
