And that is good advice but not always followed including not venting the batteries to the outside. Check out the BFL13 picture above which suggests several different ways to not follow good guidelines.
Ha! You must have read my post about setting off the LP alarm inside the trailer from all the battery fumes when I forgot to turn down the voltage on my adjustable charger :) Also probably set back the life time of my chargers, controllers, inverters, and shunt near the batteries.
Luckily? I am so old, all that gear could outlast me, so I don't much worry about that.
