I have heard of seals sticking to the outside (or inside) walls during hot weather and then when trying to open/close them, the seals will pull out of the slide lip, tearing the rubber.
Seems to me that the powder (baby or otherwise) would keep the seals from sticking. That said, I am a real fan of the 303 protectant and use it on just about anything and everything....so probably will continue to use it on my slide out seals.
