Whirlpool Side by Side residential fridge Problem

Lowering the Fridge side will not affect the freezer. AS another pointed out, you need the performance checked. In a side by side, the FREEZER operates and the fridge side is cooled from the FREEZER evaporator. IF the defrost heaters are not activating(or burned out) that will mean low cooling on the freezer because the coils will ice up completely. It will also degrade the Fridge side as the air flow over the freezer coils is diminished. Doug
