Hi,
I did not have a generator for five years. I relied on 256 watts of solar. That was enough to meet my needs for boondocking for 2 weeks. I usually ran out of fresh water before I ran out of power.
To be fair, I'm not much for staying in one place, so I'd factor in some charging from the engine alternator. The battery bank was fairly large at 875 amp-hours (when new) I used my rv between 50 and 100 days per year. The longest trips were 30 days.
