why don't Solar controller mfg/sellers use honest ratings

example most 30amp controllers are listed at 390w of panels and 40amp controllers at 500w of panels but we don't charge batteries at 12.0v we charge at 14v or higher 14v*30 amps 420w output, ...

I did stay away from Bluesky due to the screwy amp limits. It is as if the buck converter cannot handle the output limit. See that there is no footnote '1' next to the wattage limit... just next to the max voltage. I think this is more of a performance issue so customer is not complaining about clipping power. Or if power ramps up too quickly for the archaic Bluesky to control the output.

No such issues afaik over at Morningstar. Load it up and let it rip.
