i have NO complaint against blue sky, it is mppt and does what it says
it was an example of something Done right
25amp 400w
vs
30amp 390w ?
with the blue sky you can and do reach the specified output
the allowable input sees too that
PWM is NOT mppt
so no way 390w of panels producing a max of 23 amps is going to put out 30amps charge.. so if the limit is 390w it is NOT in anyway a 30 amp charge controller
OH maybe a 10 seconds cloud fringe lens effect spike, but NOT an Honest 30 amps
the discussion here is NOT about the vagaries of solar irradiance, it about honest capabilities of the controllers being sold
30 amps at 13v yeah, you might get that in the middle of the day after the overcast burns off, but only IF you have 30amps worth of panels, and 30amps of nominal 12v panels means over 500w..now do you see the relationship of the numbers, with PWM you can't get 30 amps out of 390w worth of 12v panels, because they only put 22.xx, any thing over that is a spike that is NOT sustainable
