Why two thermostats?

My Reflection 5th wheel has two thermostats located within 8 feet from each other.&nbsp; &nbsp;Why have two?&nbsp; &nbsp;Does the hall way thermostat just control the furnace or can the furnace be controlled from either thermostat??&nbsp; &nbsp;I have a 50amp coach with two AC's.&nbsp; &nbsp;Is this possibly why there are two thermostats,&nbsp; one for the main living area and one for the bedroom?&nbsp; I can see the need for two in controlling two AC's&nbsp; but apparently the furnace can only be controlled from the main living area thermostat.&nbsp; &nbsp;Am I correct??

Turn one on and see what it controls. Then try the other one and see which one that controls.&nbsp;

Two Stats for each AC unit (and heat pump if the AC units are so equipped). The proximity of the stats does not matter. There are temperature sensors in each room.&nbsp;
