Alright, specific purpose requires larger bank (or batteries live short, or you run a generator). And "specific purpose" here is reheating the meals? It's not so specific that only MW could do. There is a propane oven and there are stove-top gadgets like double boilers. They are not in the middle of nowhere in South America, thousand miles from the nearest propane plant. It doesn't even sound like they do longer than weekend stay. Ok, to each its own...
