I purchased a "wifi" enabled camera and my smart phone connected to it perfectly, obviously I just had to turn on wifi on the smartphone.
There are plenty of new cams out now with wifi capabilities, even the new Go Pro cam has it.
I haven't really used it a "live" situation I just played around with it at the camper storage facility and it worked OK.
