My home cable provider has an app which supposedly allows me to log in using my regular account and passwords to any wifi service which shows up on their app and which supposedly will allow me full speed service and the same security as I have at home. Most of these places are smallish businesses like smoke shops and nail salons. The cable company says that these providers receive a lower service fee for agreeing to share their bandwidth and that all is secure. Call me skeptical, but I have not yet tried this service and am not sure that I ever want to.
