Small microwaves often need 700-900 watts, Normal size ones 1000-1100 and Big ones up to 1200-1350 .. So a 1,000 is ... iffy.. I'd got 1500 to be sure.
In another thread I said (using different words) every electrical appliance has a tag or stamp that tells how hungry it is.. My Microwave needs: 1,500 watts of which 1,100 cooks the food and the other 400 is lost running controls and such.
Add 10% for safety,, So a 2KW inverter would be the minimum for my nuk-o-matic (And that is what I have).
