Will 1K inverter work microwave?

For comparison I have a 900 watt MW, a 1200 watt inverter and two gp 27 batteries. It takes 6 minutes to heat 2 cups of water side by side where it takes my home big MW only 3 minutes to heat the same water.
I only use it once or twice a day and am half way satisfied. If I had to do it again I would add another gp 27 and have a 2000 watt inverter.
If Wife needs more MW cooking time or use the crock pot I crank the honda2K for her.
