Will a bigger inverter avoid the dreaded alarm?

Are you selfcontained? That means you have NO 120 shore power but are strictly on battery power. If so, and you have the standard small Inverter with the cigar lighter 12 volt plug, you are overloading the circuit supplying that 12 volt wall plug. THAT is why it alarms. As others mentioned, you need larger 12 volt supply wiring and need to bypass the Cigar lighter plug. Doug
