When I am running the furnace and the pump and the inverter with a charger, the voltage readout on the inverter sometimes drops to 11 volts momentarily, triggering a brief but loud alarm. And a really big load, like trying to charge a laptop, will cause the inverter to turn off altogether.
I know the battery is fully charged -- this is a group 31 with 110 amp-hours, at 12.7 volts in a resting state.
If it's not too late to the thread...
Any small inverter should be able to run a laptop, it's mere 100W draw.
I think battery is part of the problem. Is it a single 110 AH battery? If so, get another one. Nobody seriously considers offgrid camping without at least 200 AH bank. A 200 AH battery bank will less likely experience a temporary voltage drop under load, and will last longer until its resting voltage (= charge) drops as well.
(Edit) - ops... I see 2oldman has addressed this already.
Also, consider getting rid of the furnace and replacing it with wall-mounted non-powered propane heater - brick, blue flame, catalytic - whatever. Silent and no amps draw. You will love all the added storage space after you've thrown the furnace out.
Also, I'm confused about "charger". I hope you meant some electronics charger, not a charger attached to generator, because the latter has little to do with inverter.
