It depends on the temperature whether that 13.6v is too high for a Float voltage. 13.6 is right for about 50F, too high for 60F, too low for 40F. 13.2v is for 80F
temperature changes, how do we get around that issue?
Keep camping and never be in Float! :) Or if not camping, use a temperature compensated Float Charger instead of the converter.
The only (AFAIK) temp compensated converter (Parallax Paramode) available has some disadvantages that may apply, so can't recommend that instead. Better to have the exact converter you want and a separate float charger IMO.
