Not really. The propane burner produces a lot more BTU's than the Cal Rod does on 110 volts. Similar, but not the same in reality.
Actually propane burner btu vs electric element wattage produces very similar heat transfer. They are 'matched' for fridge performance
Electric element transfer heat generated directly to perk tube
Propane transfer heat generated via the flue baffle
Propane btu will be higher due to some heat being lost up flue
Propane will 'start' cooling process slightly sooner then electric but once the perk tube is up to temp both perform very close to each other.
