The Chinese batteries are famous for dying fast.
It is so common with smoke detectors where factory battery will start beeping after couple of months, when Duracell replacement works for 3 years.
Frankly, I don't see much use for the remote switches in RV, with only exception of having exterior lights with "panic" button.
In my RV control panels have small LED that give me enough light for those rare midnight bathroom trips.
