No. If the panels had been supply amps that the fridge was using the meter would have shown zero load or milliamps, that was the load on the batteries

I did not look at the controller or watt metre in the compartment to see what IF ANY the solar was supplying
I could have turned off the fridge to see if it went to charge , but I did not, if the solar was doing anything it was minimal, we had fog this morning

Similar to what I do in my solar panel thread

Everyone seems to complain about controllers, regulators, gizmos, yadda, "not allowing them to fully charge batteries completely with solar panels".

Here's how I did it. And it worked fine. Repeatedly, for many years.

Buy a 4 hour windup Intermatic timer.

Wire it to BYPASS the solar controller, unless it is MPPT in which case I do not know if a bypass would fry the controller. (?)

Wind up the Intermatic. It's purpose is to not forget to shut things off in case you forget.

Take a day off. Meaning shut off the squawk box. Gadgets and electronics. Lights. God knows what else.

Go outside and get some fresh air. Or is the air poisonous where you RV (just joking)? Occasional FIFTEEN VOLTS SUSTAINED AIN'T GONNA HURT YOUR AGM. You've got solar panels. Sunset stops the process.

MPPT: Install switches. Learn the protocol for ordinal OFF then back ON. Then engage the bypass.

How did people EXIST without auto toilet flushers, microwave dinner prep instructions, occupancy sensors, automatic this and no-thinking that?
