Well, used B12... So far, the generator takes 5-7 pulls to get started, takes about a minute to stabilize, as I shove the choke slowly back to normal, and once I get a 750 watt resistive load on it for about 15 minutes, it will run normally, surging briefly when I drop the load off, or add a 1500 watt load from my Vornado heater.
I am going to try the above stuff probably this or next week, just to see, but I've not seen much improvement from tossing things in the tank.
The problem is that it used to always start on the first pull. Now, it seems to not like life.
Next thing I'm going to do is replace the spark plug, and from there, just because I have thousands of hours on it, take it to a Yamaha dealership, have them pop the heads and have them do decarbonization of the piston, and other maintenance tasks that I can't really do myself, especially with a unit that has seen over 2500 hours on it.
Again, what killed it was the fact that I wasn't able to fog it, nor run it before January due to the job hunt, and a number of other reasons. Normally, it would get run at least once or twice a month (start engine, put a 1500 watt heater on it, let sit an hour, turn genset off.)
