So I'm guessing that the OEM converter is a component which would look something like a box with leads attached.
When this issue first came up and I phoned Xantrex support they mentioned it might be something with the converter which came with the trailer. Thing is, I've never been able to actually locate where the converter actually is. The breaker panel has a label "Progressive Dynamics Power Converter". but it just has circuit breakers and fuses. If the actual converter is behind or attached to that panel somewhere there is no obvious way to remove the panel to get at it.
If the installers were not experienced with this sort of set up, which could well be the case even though they sell the **** things, having it wired up wrong would be no surprise.
BTW, it is now 11:00 at night with the shore power still hooked up and the display reads Full.
