The consensus being that the problem is down to running two converters, that being similar with one of my first theories that the solar panel charging at the same time as the shore power might be the issue, though I didn't have a clue as to the battery discharging so quickly, I have moved on to calling a mobile RV guy to come out and check everything. I could figure out how to remove the panel but seeing that there is more than one black wire sorting which one by trial and error does not seem like a good move. As Doug said, I obviously don't know what I'm doing. In mitigation I would like to place into evidence before the court that I have sorted out a few other issues on my own with different components. The joys of RVing.
On our recent camping trip my buddy suggested I call a mobile guy but it annoyed the hell out of me to have to spend money to get it sorted considering how much money I spent for the solar install and the hassle involved with it not working correctly as well as taking it back to the dealer when the system fried the first time I turned it on. I paid several thousand dollars and so far it has never worked right. Leaving the OEM converter connected seems like a really stupid mistake for somebody that should have known. Conceivably they even did it twice. In any event, paying the mobile guy is better than having to take the trailer 20 miles down the road, leave it, go back and get it, all just to possibly have them screw it up again. They're a really big dealership as well.
I really want to thank y'all for taking the time and sharing your knowledge. Most kind of you and greatly appreciated. I've learned a lot to say the least. I also suspect it will cut down my bill since I have something to point to and can pass on the steps y'all guided me through.
I'll likely post once more time after the mobile guy comes out, just to let y'all know the result. Thanks so much once again.
