You'll typically want to shut the solar panels off when plugged into shore power. They will fight each other to charge the batteries and can result in over charging. I have a 60 amp automotive breaker switch on the hot leg of my feed from the panels to the charge controller. I just open this circuit breaker before hooking up to shore power.
