Running both on the inverter will drain your batteries very quickly.
Now the above statement is no good if you are connected to shore power, then the AC is only a feed thru. Meaning the AC goes into the inverter and then back out to an Inverter circuit breaker panel. In this case the inverter is not turned on, but only allowing the ac to pass thru it and onto the ICB panel.
Then it could be a back CB, bad connection on the outlet or and a overloaded circuit breaker.
