Xantrex Inverter Question?

I'm looking at the Prowatt SW600 inverter and they are calling it "True Sine-Wave!" Is this a buzz term or does anyone know is this inverter actually pure sine wave because the price is only 167.00 at BestInverters which makes me think it is a MSW...??!

  • Where is the THD spec?

Go Power is less than 3%. Lower cost is closer to 5%. Still sine wave.
  • The SW600 IS a PSW (pure, true, whatever sine wave) inverter.
  • I'll go with the Sleepy Man on this one! I've been pricing now every day and doing lots of comparisons and that is a great deal in my view..
  • Bestconverter.com has them for $167... I think that it's a good price and it is PSW.

And I have done a bunch of business with Randy... always felt good with everything I did with them

A Samlex SSW 1500 Watt PSW is only $325

The prices seem to have come down
  • $167 is a very steep price for a MSW inverter of only 600 watts. I'd expect to pay no more than, oh, maybe $50 for an MSW unit that size.
  • OK that's awesome then... Thanks for the responses!
I know there are some that no longer believe in Xantrex since they are now built in China or so I am told but lots of people use them & you can't beat that price with a stick!!!
  • Well, I bought that inverter from the same source...

Yes it is a true-sinewave inverter.

I also bought the wired remote and relay. I hard wired it into one of the 120V circuits.
