Xantrex prosine 2000 over temp

My prosine 2000 is giving me a fault code that temp 1 is too high. If I clear the fault or if I power the unit off and turn it back on, it will start and charge the house batteries at a high current (about 75-80 amps) for about 3-5 minutes. Then I can hear a relay click and the overtemp alarm comes in again and the charge shuts off.

This was attempted during a warm august day but I've used the prosine year around in much warmer temperatures.

I put my hand on the xantrex box itself and it is warm but I've noticed it warmer.

Two questions:

Is this xantrex a goner? ie should I replace it? I've read that xantrex doesn't share wiring diagrams making troubleshooting a problem.

Second question on researching a replacement inverter/charger is that all of them take a power derate when operated above temps about 25C (77F). Where do you keep your inverter? Mine is located in a basement compartment in a Class A motorhome and I'm guessing the only time it sees less than 77F is on a cold winter day.
