It’s our first camp season with our new golf cart. We have a travel trailer and Ram 3500 dooly. The golf cart fits and can be secured just fine in the bed of the Ram to close the tailgate and haul the trailer.
Question is…what about the roof of the gold cart at 60-70 mph? There is a solar panel on the roof and taking it off is very difficult.
What recommendations does anyone have to secure the roof for travel? Does anyone think the roof will be ok without any further securing measures and why?
Thank you!
Agree, normal golf cart canopies aren’t going anywhere, but in the spirit of rv.net madness we don’t know that for sure about YOUR golf cart.
However you could do a test drive.
Worst case, I would not be worried about the 60-70mph. But the 110mph when you’re doing 70 and a gust of wind hits it or the 140mph when passing an oncoming semi on a tight 2 laner and you’re both doing 70!
