Man I hope by a “good deal” you meant they paid you to take that truck off their lot.
Thank god you got the leaky freeze plug F2fiddy to drive…..
It’s hard to turn down those “deals” but one must resist the urge….

I did buy the truck with the expectation of having to do some work and dump money to it. I have about a thousand into it so far regarding setting the truck up for the truck camper. Another thousand to go for rear slider window and build another shelf system in the back seat to better organize and to accommodate the cats.
Mechanically, I have about a thousand into it so far. I expect another couple thousand when all said and done. Based on everything else I've learned about this truck, I'm very happy with it. I expect to change injectors 1 and 8. Possibly a couple other items like stand pipes and dummy plugs. The fuel supply system is working great, delivering 65 psi constant. The damaged fuel regulator Oring delivering low and slow fuel pressure is most likely what caused the injectors to start sending codes. Injector 1 no longer codes. Injector 8 sends PO283 but no longer sends the contribution code. I will change 1 and 8 and that should resolve the problem. The 65 psi fuel pressure should prevent any further damage to the injectors. Putting new oil and filter in today and, Archoil oil when it gets here, then give it a couple days running chance to do it's thing. If no results, then Doctor Jeff will perform open heart didsel Injector surgery. I'll change the F250 oil too.
