you can get ford to put them on. I bought the kit from an after market but found the way the bed bolts were installed I was just breaking tools, so I paid ford to install it. if you can get yout bedbolts out it is a very easy install.
Hello and thanks for the reply. When you speak of removing bed bolts are you just referring to removing all or just the 4 (typically) that fasten the hitch?

all. the bed has to come off, or at least lift up because the hitch is mounted directly to the top of the frame. it isn't the bed bolts that mount the hidden hitch frame to the truck fram, thats its own bolts. the issue is the bed bolts are not fully formed when they are driven in and almost weld themselves in place when the factory drives them in. mind were impossable for me to get out but I know people that have gotten theres out so it seams to verry. you also have to drill out the holes. so when I broke three torx bits on 1 bolts I canned ford and asked them how much to put it on. it was only 400cdn and I already broke 75 bucks in bits so I said ok. haha

The thought process that lands on “take it to the dealership “ for anything other than warranty, recall, or highly specialized work is lost on me.
Or at least not shopping for the best value and putting any level of trust that a dealer will give you the best value for a paying customer is a bit misguided imo
