interesting. i have the old "leaf spring" front end (doesnt turn nearly as sharp as your coil spring front) and I've never had an issue in any city in the NE or mid-atlantic.
whats 2 more feet i say....152 vs 172 inch wheelbase...and a leaf spring front mean i just use reverse more often than coil front suspension guys....of course length of the truck doesnt have anything to do w/ width (and yes there are tight parking everywhere).

Up here in the unsavory and conservative north they refuse to make parking lots, drive thru windows, or anything else friendly for trucks. I used to have a 2006 CC LB and would never do it again, unless I move.
