Also when you consider the fact that the rack slides into the receivers, there will be some slop that will allow the rack to bounce more than if the rack was welded to the bumper. If some support bars were added from the trailing edge of the rack to somewhere near the latches on the bunk end, it would be dramatically stronger and safer.
