My prowler 24C was listed at 4500 dry, it typically had 6000-6500 on axels, and 700-800 hw.
I also have a family of 6, we skied weekends out of it, dry camped, so we typically had full water tank, twin 15 gal LP, 2 batteries, etc on it too.
1400 lbs for two people, assuming dish's towels etc are always packed etc. 6500 to 7000 total is a good number to work with.
