to me I would be tempted to clean it up, then list if for a price that is reasonable "as is" some people look for truck with blown engines for motor swaps and if the price is good it will go fast and save you the cost of scraping it and you can still get something out of it.
if it doesn't sell then you have to decide if the time and money you have to put into it to get it to a decent running condition is worth the return.

haha ya I get why people do it, they are a dime a dozen and cheep and easy to make run. when I was young I used to like that loud stuff, one of the best days I can remember is the day I traded in my 7.3 power stroke (still not anywhere near as loud as a 12V or 24V) on my 6.7 powerstroke. I was amazed that a diesel could be quieter than the gas engine. no more waking up the campground because I want to get an early start, I had a tear in my eye haha
