It's generational thing, in the US. The older generation are in love with the 80s style decor you see in most new RVs here, and the huge 70s style pickups.
Younger people like the sleek style of the aussie and european RVs and the cuteness of the Isuzu trucks, plus the environmental resposibility of fuel efficiency. I predict we will see more of both, in coming years when Xers and millennials hit the road.
Personally I kind of like seeing what RV's are available elsewhere in the world. I don't care for the atitude of "Ours are so much better than yours, because yours are stinky."
I don't care for most of the trucks, and care not at all for the interiors which are stark and cold to me, and look like ultra modern hotel rooms. But I'm not going to buy them so it's a wash.
