That's really more personal opionion than any fact. Every rig out there has some flaws. Researching the various units will show you what features you want/need and how much you are willing to pay for them.
"fifth wheel is safer than a trailer"
Generally I'd agree, but a TT can be setup very safe as well with the right hitch. I've prefered my 5er towing vs. my TT's. Safer? I guess, it just tows better and I haven't had sway issues at all.
"should I just get a motorhome toy hauler"
Depends on your personal needs and budget.
"starcraft travel star sport-utility trailer"
If that works for you go for it, I've done the PopUp & Hybrid trailers - prefer a hardsided trailer so we can camp year round and have less setup time.
