Okay, just my 2 cents. I would go with the Ford for a couple of reasons. The 5.0 Coyote is a really good engine. Good performance and respectable mpg. Also, the electronic steering rack on the F150 is nice. Running a long haul down the highway / freeway it steers true and solid with virtually no correction. This is the most effortless rig I have driven (less fatigue) due to the steering and overall quiet cab. Also, no need to modify a softer suspension.
With that said I would not say anything bad about the Ram. Have not driven a 1500.
