I have an older Dodge Ram Hemi (2005 1500 Quad cab) which just passed the 102,000 mile mark. I bought it new in August of 2005. It's been the best vehicle I have ever owned. It still looks and runs like new and has never been kept in a garage. I have put a couple sets of tires on it and 2 brake jobs and that's it. I have driven several times between Florida and Kentucky and it was very comfortable. I pulled my 30' 6000lb travel trailer about 20,000 miles and my boat another 5000 miles and it pulls great.
That being said, the F150 is a really good truck as well. I would just purchase the one you like the best.
