Not sure what probs you had with the 'burb, but my old Chevy has seen solid for 15 years and 213k miles.
No problems with the Burb but with a full load of 5 kids, myself and my wife, the dog and the TT, the 6.0 just didn’t really cut the mustard. Plus. The seating in it didn’t lend to the back row being very comfortable for a long trip surprisingly. The Excursion is just roomier and with the diesel it tows better.
Trying to stay away from a HD truck for a daily driver. The Ex does 99% of the towing but on occasion I might need to tow the TT and want a truck that can do it without too much fuss. It’ll mainly be the boat tower but you never know.....
