Since the wrench can be indicative of many different issues I will take it in to get diagnosed (hopefully) Mon. I did want to get a scanner that could check the EOT and ECT delta to test the oil cooler but after reading various forums I wonder about other related components that may also be inop. I don't like throwing parts (or wasting $$$) so the first thing I do is research and hit the forums when I encounter a problem and I really appreciate the feedback and info.
RooDude09 would the code be stored even when the wrench light goes off. If so it should be easy to troubleshoot that with IDS software right?
Blofgren I have had 2 6.0L's and this is my 2nd 6.4L. These engines are much more smoother, quieter and have much more power potential with mods but I agree the systems are more complicated in their issues and seem to cost more to repair. The first 6.4L I bought had problems that I didn't repair so didn't drive it much but the person who bought it replaced the valve train and enjoyed it. But like the 6.0L's are there are numerous owners with 200K+ with no issues.
Turtle N Peeps yes there was a hole. It was enough that the coolant system would drain into the oil system. With the replaced front cover there are no leaks (thus far)

FishOnOne thanks and I agree
